IVAM presents the exhibition “Woeful Weapons. Josep Renau and Martha Rosler reacting to war”

Valencia. The director of the Institut Valencià d’Art Modern (IVAM), José Miguel G. Cortés, will present the exhibition “Woeful Weapons. Josep Renau and Martha Rosler reacting to war” with the curator, Juan Vicente Aliaga, and the American artist Martha Rosler. It will take place on Wednesday, February 4th at 11’00h in the hall of the museum.
The exhibition is a dialogue between Renau and Rosler that invites reflection on the always current phenomenon of war. The exhibition features more than 90 works spanning the Valencian stage of Renau, his exile in Mexico and his stage in the Communist Berlin, along with works by Rosler about the Vietnam War and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
