Educational workshop ”Miquel Navarro at IVAM’s Collection”

Miquel Navarro’s didactic workshop will be focused on the treatment of sculptural elements. Specifically, on the cities as one of the topics that has turned into a constant in his work.

The participants will be able to construct, to invent, to make and to arrange buildings and real estate of a city imagined as a whole, with pieces of different forms and colors, to place it later in a space that can adopt changes, remodelings, adjustments and different locations.

Later they will realise his own city this time in an individual way using a soluble clay in water that does not need boiling and that it hardens in a natural form. They will be able to use different pieces that they have molded as houses, buildings, skyscrapers… that they will place in a space delimited by a line of points on a base of cardboard.

Once finished the didactic activity, every participant can take the work that he has created, that he has imagined, definitively his own city.

From Tuesday to Friday 09:30 to 13:30 h. and from 15.30 to 18:30 h. For school groups and other groups with previous appointment. The workshop last approximately 1h. 30 min. each group.

Sundays 11:00 h., 12:00 h. and 13:00 h. Approximate duration: 1h.

The workshops are destined for all kinds of public: students, adults, occupational centers, families etc.
