Few histories, identical histories

EducationalWorkshops

The workshop tries to aproach the knowledge of the cultural diversity between the indigenous Australian culture and the own one by means of artistic creation.

Participants in the workshop are shown a brief introduction about the geographical and sociocultural landscape in which the aboriginal Australian art is developed before making the activity. For this aim, they are proposed several models which they must choose according to their personal taste and use colours on uniform points (dot pointing) which they get by using the end of wood toothpicks.

In the same way that the painting of the artists of the Western Desert answers to their habitat characterized by a dazzling luminosity and the richness of colour, the offers of the workshop explore the expressive possibilities of the painting and its formal properties as aesthetic and visual communication language.
