The Valencian Institute of Modern Art has decided to add to many honorings that during this year 2008, eighth centenary of the birth of Jaime I (1 of february 1208 – 26 of july 1276), are being held to the founder of Valencia. The modern art wants to commemorate the above mentioned event with an exhibition and a didactic workshop. The didactic workshop from Jaime I. A current look. Artists located in the time passed from the 13th century, it will be able to be visited while there lasts the exhibition that takes the same name last, from June 17 until the next July 20 in the habitual timetable of the museum for the public in general. It will consist of the sample of the works carried out by pupils of infantile education. The workshop wants the experiences of the pupils who have taken part to be reflected by means of these works.
