IT IS PASSAGE 9 Álvaro de los Ángeles / José Miguel G. Cortés available and effective confusion, disinformation. Yet it does not seem possible to understand a complex situation, let alone try to transform it, without proper definitions of its individual elements and interconnected relationships. At the same time, nobody is unaware that terminology, and the correct construction of its definitions, is a task not lacking in essential, radical difficulties of discourse that have to be confronted. In Transit is not just a project that describes a situation; it is also the possibility of change, which will come from the very process of transformation that is its driving force. Moreover, this transition will not cling to the liquid aspects of temporary understanding that it seems to emulate, but rather hold fast to the need to endure as a transition towards particular spaces and places that have been lost or not yet discovered. This is not a contradiction in terms. The emergence of “non-spaces” in our contemporary society created the possibility of a partial, limited transaction of an understanding of immediacy. That is the point we have reached and at which we remain. However, the need to recover the credibility of a space for thinking – and remembering – as in the present case, and its function as an active agent in a society
